Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing of critical components, focusing on process stability, problem solving, and corrective actions. The role involves applying GD&T and leading quality initiatives in a high-precision environment.

You will participate in audits, NCRs, and first article inspections, driving continuous improvement and collaboration with design engineers and certifying agents. A background in aerospace or similar high-precision industries is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years manufacturing experience (or 5 years with HS diploma)
• Experience interpreting drawings and GD&T; QA proficiency desired
• Exposure to aerospace/high-precision industries is preferred

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations through daily management and RCCA.
• Interpret tooling and product drawings; ensure conformance; develop GD&T expertise; disposition suspect hardware.
• Lead long-term projects to create a Zero Defect Culture.
• Complete trainings for Quality Excellence Program I & II.
• Develop understanding of significant processes and lead changes with Certifying Agents and Design Engineers.
• Lead First Article Inspection efforts for process changes and NPI.
• Incorporate feedback from engineering CID requests to improve value for customers.
