Job summary

Singularity in Gardena, CA, seeks a Quality Engineer to own quality systems and day-to-day quality functions across inspection, NCR management, and CAPA in a complex aerospace-influenced product. You’ll collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to build robust processes for mechanical, electrical, software, and propulsion subsystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of quality engineering experience in high-reliability manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management system.
• Hands-on NCR and CAPA processes using structured root cause analysis (8D/A3/5-Why).
• Direct experience with First Article Inspection per AS9102.
• Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5; extract inspection requirements from drawings.
• Experience contributing to DFMEA/PFMEA and control plan generation.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and records across inspection, nonconformance, CAPA, and FAI processes.
• Develop and execute receiving, in-process, and final inspection processes with defined criteria.
• Document NCRs and drive CAPA actions using root-cause methods.
• Lead DFMEA/PFMEA activities and tie outputs to inspection plans and control plans.
• Plan and execute FAI per AS9102 with proper documentation and approvals.
• Witness and approve acceptance test results; maintain test records as conclusive evidence of conformance.
• Participate in design reviews as quality representative; identify Key Characteristics for production controls.
• Review ECOs and drawings for impact on inspection criteria and production controls.
• Support supplier quality activities including CoC reviews and SCAR follow-up.
• Collect and maintain quality metrics; support management review processes.
• Participate as a qualified internal auditor in the audit program.
