Job summary

Mercury Systems Quality Engineering team is seeking an eager Quality Engineer to play a key role in driving continuous improvement, resolving complex quality challenges, and ensuring product excellence in a fast-paced aerospace/ defense environment. The Quality Assurance Engineer will act as the Quality Program Lead for multiple design, development, and production programs.

The role requires strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO quality systems, supplier qualification, and the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in Quality Assurance/Engineering for mission-critical systems
• Experience with AS9100/ISO quality systems and supplier qualification
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and improving standards and procedures
• Create Quality, test and inspection plans and reports
• Ensure ongoing ISO/AS9100/ISO 17025 compliance with QMS
• Verify product performance and create Failure Analysis Reports (FACAR as needed)
• Analyze failures, determine root cause and initiate corrective action
• Perform supplier qualification, visits and audits
• Utilize customer feedback to drive continual improvement
• Maintain QMS through design, development and production phases
• Interface with Program Management, Engineering and Operations
• Review first article inspections as required
• Review program documents (drawings, assemblies, procedures, reports)
• Perform other duties as necessary
