Job summary

A staffing company is currently assisting in the search for a Senior Quality Engineer in South Carolina. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing setting, along with knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Competitive salary between $80,000 and $85,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification preferred.
• Proficiency with 8D/A3, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and corrective action systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Implement and improve shop-floor quality systems to meet shipping requirements.
• Plan and execute process/product audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product and process conformity, reducing variation, preventing defects, and driving continuous improvement across production, suppliers, and customer interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
