Job summary

Openwork is assisting a client in Spartanburg for a Senior Quality Engineer role. You will lead quality initiatives to ensure product and process conformity, drive continuous improvement, and reduce variation across production and supplier interfaces.

You will apply 8D/A3 problem solving, PFMEA, and SPC to prevent defects and verify corrective actions, while developing shop-floor quality systems and conducting audits to meet shipping requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification preferred.
• Proficiency with 8D/A3, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and corrective action systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Implement and improve shop-floor quality systems to meet shipping requirements.
