Job description

AboutRe:Build

AtRe:Build, our mission is to ensure the next generation of important products are made, at scale, in America. We are laying the foundation for a better future for our customers, employees, and communities by revitalizing America's manufacturing base and creating meaningful jobs across the country, including in historically deindustrialized regions.

We operate an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform that partners with industrial companies and innovators to take products from first concept to full-scale production in critical verticals including aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy and environment, and robotics and automation.

The way we operate is as important as the work we do. It's guided by TheRe:BuildWay, 16 principles that shape how we collaborate with each other, partner with our customers and vendors, and contribute to the communities where we operate. (link to The Re:Build Way principles)

About Re:Build DAPR Engineering

Re:Build DAPR Engineering, LLC (DAPR) is an engineering design and analysis consulting firm in Merrimack, New Hampshire. We work with customers across many industries to develop and deliver turnkey industrial machines to meet their unique requirements. We design and build custom automation solutions, work with OEM’s to develop industrial products, and provide engineering analysis using FEA tools.

Who We Are Looking For

We're looking for a quality-minded engineer who takes genuine pride in building things right the first time. You're someone who sees quality not as a final checkpoint, but as something that gets designed and built into a product from the very beginning — through solid data, sound processes, and close collaboration with the teams designing and building the product.

You bring a strong foundation in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, backed by real-world experience solving production problems, and you're comfortable moving between hands-on inspection work and higher-level statistical analysis. You know how to dig into data to find the root cause of an issue, document it clearly, and drive a fix that sticks — and you're just as comfortable auditing a supplier's process as you are sitting in on a design review contributing to an FMEA.

This role is a great fit for someone who wants to have a direct, visible impact on product quality at Re:Build DAPR Engineering — from early design input through incoming materials, in-process controls, and finished goods. If you enjoy variety in your work, take ownership of problems until they're truly resolved, and want your analytical skills to translate into tangible improvements on the shop floor, this role offers that opportunity.

What You Get To Do
  • Contribute to product design teams by driving FMEAs, identifying critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics, and establishing verification methods early in the development process
  • Analyze process data statistically to confirm processes are in control, and lead troubleshooting efforts when they're not
  • Investigate quality issues and document corrective actions using 8D or a similar structured methodology
  • Drive Material Review Board (MRB) actions to resolve nonconforming material
  • Inspect incoming parts and materials as needed to catch issues before they enter production
  • Track KPIs such as scrap rate, rework, and yield, and lead continuous improvement efforts to move those metrics in the right direction
  • Maintain the calibration schedule for inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Conduct supplier audits and provide recommendations on preferred vendors
  • Support company-wide ISO 9001 internal and external audits as needed
What You Bring To The Team

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or another engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, root cause analysis, and statistical process control
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and guide decisions that improve performance
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in written and verbal English, including moderately complex documents and group discussions
  • Willingness to travel domestically on an occasional basis, depending on business needs

Preferred:

  • Six Sigma or other quality-related certification
  • Experience with ERP software (e.g., Syteline)
  • Exposure to CAD/CAE tools, preferably SolidWorks
