Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Life Sciences SaaS platform, focusing on quality assurance and release engineering across multiple products. This role is remote with flexible location, and involves functional and automation testing to ensure quality with every release.

You'll work in an agile team, mentor juniors, collaborate with engineers, product managers and QA, and contribute to test plans, automation efforts, and product knowledge to drive customer success in a

Qualifications

• 7+ years relevant work experience, including software development and/or software test automation.
• Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches in a software company with short release cycles.
• Experience in writing test cases and automating them, including boundary, negative, compatibility and concurrency tests.
• Working knowledge and experience in SQL database queries.
• Strong expertise with Unix/Linux command line for log analysis.
• Strong expertise with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience coding in Java AND/OR mobile languages.

• Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk.

The Role

We're hiring Senior Quality Engineers to work at ••••• , working on various products in the Life Sciences industry encompassing the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.

As part of our Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you'll be responsible for functional and automation testing of software, ensuring customer success with every release.

What You'll Do

Requirements

• Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (black box and/or automated testing) in a software company with short release cycles
• Experience in writing test cases and automating them, covering both sanity and in-depth testing including and not limited to boundary, negative, compatibility, and concurrency tests
• Working knowledge and experience in SQL database queries
• Strong expertise with Unix/Linux command line for log analysis
• Strong expertise with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience coding in Java AND/OR mobile languages

Nice to Have

• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence
• Experience authoring automated tests in standard functional test automation frameworks. e.g., Cucumber/Selenium/TestNg
• Knowledge of modern best practices for software development
• Experience in a SaaS environment that has an agile development process is a huge plus
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience working in the Health Sciences and Life Sciences industry
• Experience in Mobile Testing and Automation – Appium, XCUI, Espresso, KIF
• Experience in Mobile Apps Development (Android/iOS)

Compensation

• Base pay: $80,000 - $150,000 USD
• The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
