Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) seeks a Quality Control Specialist IV in Chesapeake, VA, to provide technical problem solving, maintenance, and refurbishment support for NIWC Atlantic under OCF Task Orders. The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain SECRET clearance within 12 months, and travel up to 75%.

The position focuses on supervising CHUGACH and subcontractor teams, evaluating personnel, and ensuring QA standards across antenna, comms, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within 12 months of hire date.
• Must have a High School diploma.
• Must be willing to travel up to 75% CONUS/OCONUS.
• Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• 10-year proven experience in quality control/assurance within the USN/USCG electronic system maintenance and installation industry.
• Testing, alignment, troubleshooting and repair experience on specified systems (ATG, TEMPLAN, ESS, MAA, 6TV, SOFLE, 1MC-58M).
• Strong proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies with keen analytical skills.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Managing the installation department’s shipboard efforts supporting OCF Task Orders.
• Directing the daily work of assigned CHUGACH and subcontractor personnel in support of OCF Task Orders.
• Providing monthly evaluations on CHUGACH and subcontractor personnel supporting OCF Task Orders with recommendations on promotions/demotions.
• Solve technical problems.
• Supervise and guide troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of communications, navigation, power, C2, and interior systems.
• Ensure product and manufacturing process meet quality and safety standards.
• Test equipment to ensure manufacturing process effectiveness and safety.
• Interpret plans and drawings and contribute to design and fabrication.
• Prepare shop drawings for model construction.
• Assist with identifying material specifications and fabrication methods.
• Completing assigned work timely and professionally.
• Keeping managers informed of progress, issues, and planned efforts across tasks.
