Job summary

United Precision Corp. in Washougal, WA, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to join our on-site Quality team.

You will inspect products, materials, and components to ensure conformance with specifications, perform routine checks, testing, and measurements, and support relentless quality output. The role collaborates with engineering and quality teams on APQP/PPAP, creates inspection plans, and maintains calibration data and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in manufacturing, quality, metrology, or engineering.
• Ability to work constructively with others, dependability, effective verbal and written communication, heightened attention to detail and ability to follow through, and teamwork.
• Advanced blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Support the APQP process for new products.
• Perform product layouts as part of PPAP for new product launches.
• Create inspection plans.
• Collaborate with Quality Manager/Quality Engineer on MRB activities.
• Coordinate with engineering to validate processes and advise on quality stages for in-line inspection.
• Perform First Piece Verification and In-Process inspections to ensure accuracy and minimize downtime.
• Accept Raw Materials and Inspections using precision measuring devices and CMMs.
• Facilitate calibration of equipment requiring external validation.
• Ensure gages are up to date on calibration prior to production release.
• Maintain job files, production data, and calibration data for retention.
• Participate in product and process quality audits as directed.
• Support responsibilities from Quality Inspector I & II as needed.
• Other quality-related duties as assigned.
