Job summary

United Precision Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector III to inspect products, materials, and components to ensure adherence to quality standards. You will conduct routine checks, testing, and measurements of machined and assembled goods, contributing to high-quality output and customer satisfaction.

The role supports the APQP/PPAP processes, collaborates with engineering, and ensures calibration and traceability of inspection data in a fast-paced aerospace/defense environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years in manufacturing, quality, metrology, or engineering.
• Demonstrated dependability, effective communication, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Advanced blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Support the APQP process for new products.
• Perform PPAP layouts for new product launches.
• Create inspection plans.
• Support MRB activities with the Quality Manager/Quality Engineer.
• Collaborate with engineering to validate processes and advise on quality stages for in-line inspection.
• Perform First Piece Verification and In-Process inspections to ensure accuracy and minimize downtime.
• Accept raw materials and inspections using precision measuring devices and CMMs.
• Facilitate calibration of equipment requiring external validation.
• Ensure gages are up to date on calibration prior to release to production.
• Maintain job files, production data, and calibration data for retention.
• Participate in product and process quality audits as directed.
