Senior Quality Assurance Specialist - Automated Testing / Mainframe

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist within PNC's Lending Technology Credit Card Processing Rewards organization will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, or Strongsville, OH, primarily onsite with some remote work at the manager’s discretion.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing business requirements and translating them into testing requirements.
• Attending project meetings and providing input on testing as projects progress.
• Developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and scripts for Java and mainframe applications.
• Performing manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and system testing.
• Executing mainframe tests, including JCL, COBOL, and CICS transactions.
• Creating automated test scripts using Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
• Validating RESTful services with RestAssured or Postman.
• Creating and executing SQL queries for data validation across Oracle and DB2 databases.
• Integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, etc.
• Managing defects using JIRA and collaborating with development teams.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to QA process improvements.

Qualifications:

• ISTQB or similar QA certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA best practices, test metrics, and standards.
• Experience with Java testing, mainframe applications, automation tools, and SQL.
