ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior QA Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of the firm’s data-driven applications and reporting systems. This role will be responsible for validating data pipelines, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support business operations. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality best practices, proactively identify and resolve data issues, and uphold the highest standards of data integrity and compliance.

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across data sources, data warehouse, and BI tools.
  • Develop and maintain automated data validation tests using SQL and scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into test cases and quality checks.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and resolve anomalies or issues.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data governance and compliance standards are met.
  • Perform regression testing on data models, dashboards, and reports following updates or deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data validation processes and queries for performance and scalability.
  • Support end-user testing and training for BI and reporting solutions.
  • Document QA processes, test cases, and results to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA or data quality engineering, with a focus on data analytics and BI environments.
  • Proven experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Redshift).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience working with data visualization and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
  • Familiarity with data validation frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests) is a plus.
  • Proven experience working with Elite 3E data is a big plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside the firm, including delivering difficult messages and challenging current assumptions.
  • Excellent writing skills; ability to present complex ideas succinctly and clearly in writing and in presentations.
  • Strong interactive skills and the ability to succeed in a teamwork environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential.
  • Ability to keep confidential any information, observations or viewpoints regarding all sensitive information and Firm business matters.
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.

Where required by law, salary ranges are stated below. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO. The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in those cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: local market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience; and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications. New York, San Francisco, Palo Alto salary range: $140k to $195k

Los Angeles, San Diego, Boston, Washington, D.C. salary range: $133k to $186k

Denver salary range: $125k to $174k
