Job summary

Phaxis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Austin, TX to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs. The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and product teams within an Agile environment, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

The candidate will leverage Selenium and Playwright for UI testing and API testing capabilities, with knowledge of GitHub Actions to integrate CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and executing automated tests for web applications.
• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including test planning, design, and defect management.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Strong experience in Automation Testing (Selenium, Playwright, API Automation, etc.)
  
• Strong understanding of QA Fundamentals (Test Planning, Test Design, Defect Management, STLC, SDLC)
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  
• Hands-on experience in API Testing
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines ( GitHub Actions) is a plus
  
• Experience in Financial Services / Banking / FinTech domain is a plus
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
