Department Overview

The Electric Compliance Assurance department is part of the Electric Risk & Compliance organization, where together we will embed compliance and risk in all that we do and achieve regulatory outcomes that support the business' needs. The work of this department is critical in our efforts to find compliance challenges and identify areas of risk so that we can fix them. The main functions of this department are identifying areas of compliance risk and opportunities to mitigate those risks, including through incident reporting and investigations, overseeing Electric Operations and Power Generation CAP, and validating the controls on the organization.

Position Summary

PG&E is seeking an experienced business professional to be a member of the Electric Compliance Controls Validation Team. The Controls Validation Team is responsible to develop quality management plans for process improvements to assure compliance quality control measures are implemented and effective.

This role will have visibility with PG&E leadership and will support one or many aspects of the Controls Validation Team's scope, with a focus on operating effectiveness (field review). A strong applicant will have deep technical, regulatory, and operational expertise, and bring a structured approach to identify external regulatory requirements, benchmark internally and externally, validate process controls, and summarize findings. The work strengthens PG&E's safety culture and compliance posture and reinforces PG&E's commitment that Everyone and Everything is Always Safe, advancing enterprise learning, transparency, and continuous improvement across investigations.

Location of this position is flexible within PG&E service territory and will require travel to other areas around PG&E's service territory. This position is hybrid, traveling to the field, working from your remote office, or working from your assigned office based as the business needs, working (4) 10 hour days per week.

The selected candidate must live within PG&E's service territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-case basis related tothese factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $102,000.00

Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $127,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $152,000.00

Minimum Base Salary (California) $97,000.00

Mid Base Salary (California) $121,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California) $144,000.00

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

• Performs as lead auditor, developing the oversight/audit plan, including information and data gathering, interview schedule, site visit schedule, associated logistics, and other related activities.
• Prepares audit work package including audit work documents, checklists, sampling plan, forms and related documents.
• Collects, verifies, and analyzes information relevant to audit objectives, scope and criteria, including information relative to interfaces between functions, activities, and processes.
• Conducts review of regulations, standards, procedures, records, data and other documents relevant to audit scope, objectives and criteria.
• Evaluates audit evidence relative to audit criteria to determine audit findings, including identification of opportunities for improvement.
• Communicates progress of the audit as appropriate, and results to various levels of management and follows-up on corrective action activities.
• Develops written audit reports describing audit findings, observations, and trends for client and management review.
• Conducts audit entrance and exit meetings, and follow-up activities.
• Performs cause analysis and identifies linkages to business objectives.
• Travel to other facilities for audits and meetings up to 60% of time with occasional overnight stays.

Background Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• Five (5) years of auditing or quality experience OR experience in the field performing maintenance, operation, engineering or other execution of work in electric, gas and/or power generation.
• Travel required up to 60% with occasional overnight stays. Periodic week-long 24X7 on-call support.
