Senior Quality Analyst / Quality Engineer Lead (6-Month Remote Contract)

Are you a seasoned Quality Analyst or Quality Engineer Lead with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions? Join us in a greenfield AI project to help shape the future of generative AI. We’re seeking a senior professional with at least 6 years of experience to lead testing efforts for a generative AI chatbot and its supporting operational features. This remote, 6-month contract is open to candidates located in the USA.

About the Role

As the Senior Quality Analyst / Quality Engineer Lead, you will plan, execute, and manage testing for a generative AI chatbot and operational reporting features. You will also leverage technical tools and practices to ensure the solution’s quality, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

AI Chatbot Testing:

• Plan and execute prompt-and-response testing for a generative AI chatbot.
• Create comprehensive test plans for chatbot grounding content (topics provided by the Project Manager).
• Efficiently organize and manage a team of 10-15 testers.
• Compile and analyze test results, comparing chatbot responses to grounding data for effectiveness.
• Aggregate findings into detailed reports twice weekly.
• Conduct functional and exploratory testing of the chatbot as needed.

Operational Report Testing:

• Plan and execute testing for operational reports and dashboards.
• Develop and gain approval for test plans covering these reports.
• Evaluate reports for adherence to design specifications and analyze output for accuracy.
• Document and resolve non-conformities in collaboration with the development team.
• Work closely with the Product Manager and CX Lead to align testing outcomes with product and customer experience visions.
• Partner with the Project Manager to identify risks, address issues, and ensure timelines are met.

Technical Execution:

• Utilize test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Perform automation testing using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Conduct performance testing with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter.
• Execute API testing using Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Collaborate using version control systems like Git or SVN and integrate with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Perform database testing using SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) and tools like DBeaver or pgAdmin.
• Maintain code quality with tools such as SonarQube, ESLint, or Pylint.
• Leverage containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for testing environments.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in quality analysis or engineering, with proven success in leading testing efforts for enterprise solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Strong automation testing experience with frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Expertise in API testing, database validation, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
