Job summary

Y-Tech Services Inc is seeking a Quality Control Analyst Senior to support QA/QC activities and ensure airworthiness through audits and process improvement. Responsibilities include inspections across aircraft systems, IMDS reviews, and coordinating corrective actions.

Ideal candidates will have AS9100 auditor training, relevant engineering quality management knowledge, and the ability to work with DoD and government requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is highly desired.
  • AS9100 internal auditing knowledge and demonstrated communication skills.
  • Experience with IMDS and MS Office suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain project Quality Plan/Monthly reports/trend analysis.
  • Conduct process/product/audit inspections and support QAE interfaces.
  • Inspect electrical, avionics, hydraulic, and structural systems on C-130 aircraft.
  • Review IMDS entries for accuracy and completeness; manage corrective actions.
  • Coordinate/NQA and Government certification visits; support process improvements.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Quality Control Analyst Senior supports all quality assurance and quality control activities while ensuring safety of aircraft and airworthiness requirements through various maintenance and engineering quality assurance auditing and process improvement programs. Responsible for evaluating internal controls and ensuring processes are acceptable, effective and in compliance with company policies/procedures, Quality Management System requirements, and Customer/Government requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Sustain project Quality Plan/Monthly reports/trend analysis.
  • Conduct process/product/special/additive maintenance/tool and FOD audits.
  • Perform Key Task Listing (KTL) inspections.
  • Inspect electrical, avionics, hydraulic, power plant, flight control, pneumatic, fuels, emergency systems, structural repairs on sub-assemblies or major assemblies on all C-130 aircraft.
  • Monitor and screen aircraft maintenance (AFTO 781 series) forms documentation entries and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) for accuracy and completeness. Impoundment/FCF/Debrief Functions.
  • Flight line maintenance/launch/recovery operations surveillance. Customer and QAE interface.
  • Quality Control Verifications (QCV).
  • Safety of flight inspections for Red X conditions documentation.
  • Performs in-process inspections. Investigate aircraft incidents/lost tools.
  • Generate and follow up on Corrective Action Requests and Root Cause and Corrective Actions.
  • Technical Assistance Request (TAR)/Local Engineering Assist (LEAR).
  • Coordinate/Validate local manufactured parts/tooling.
  • Review USAF Policy/Tech Data changes/alpha page inspections.
  • Validate/process QAE Performance Assessment reports.
  • Pre-closure inspection.
  • Process improvement/Configuration management initiatives.
  • Research/complete Air Force form 22 changes for Tech Data.
  • Coordinate and support NQA and Government Flight Representative certification/validation visits.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities for this role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • AS9100 Internal Auditor Trained
  • Aircraft Weight and Balance Certification
  • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Quality Management
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly desired
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Four (4) years of C130 military aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Previous C-130 All System Red X Qualified; C-130 Exceptional/Conditional Release Qualified.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in the role as Quality Engineer/Analyst/Assurance or Inspector.
  • Familiar with Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and use test measurement and calibrated tools.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with company management and customers, regarding quality issues and concerns.
  • Understand Microsoft Office applications to include Email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as a minimum.
  • Willing to work any shift and weekends as required.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security clearance
