Job summary

Teledyne LeCroy seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and test Qt-based GUI software for next-generation test equipment used by engineers worldwide. You will collaborate across teams to extend expertise in serial data protocols and interfaces to hardware devices, contributing to high-quality, maintainable codebases.

You will lead UI architecture, work with product management and validation teams, and mentor peers while exploring new products and technologies well before market release.

Qualifications

• ,1) Demonstrated expertise developing software for embedded platforms in Qt and C++.
• 2) Linux multi-threaded development experience is required.
• 3) UX experience is must.
• 4) 3+ years of significant Qt and QML experience.
• 5) Excellent software engineering skills from concept through maintenance.
• 6) Comfortable interfacing with hardware engineers and devices.
• 7) Efficient development process for high quality deliverables.
• 8) Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• 9) BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and test software for next generation Test and Measurement Tools.
• Write efficient and scalable code using Qt/QML/C++.
• Document the design and review with the rest of the team.
• Participate in events hosted by various Video standard groups.
• Work with the test engineer to validate features in a whole system test environment.
• Reproduce customer environment to reproduce field failures.
• Determine root causes and update test procedures accordingly.
