Job summary

Crane Pumps & Systems seeks a Senior Quality Systems & Compliance Engineer to own the Quality Management System across design, manufacturing, and the supply base in Piqua, OH. You’ll build and sustain an audit-ready QMS, drive CAPA, and coordinate PPAP/FAI with Engineering and suppliers.

You will lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and partner with cross-functional teams to reduce defects and variation while supporting ISO certification and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 2–3+ years in manufacturing or a quality-focused role.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.
• Proven root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance a scalable QMS for audit readiness.
• Own core quality tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and FAI/PPAP.
• Lead CAPA investigations from containment to effectiveness verification.
• Coordinate PPAP packages and FAIs with Engineering and suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement and analyze quality KPIs to reduce defects.
