Job summary

Primoris Energy Services seeks a Lead Technician QHSE to support QHSE systems across projects and sites. You will conduct inspections, provide training, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations and company policies to foster a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.

You will maintain QHSE records, lead policy implementation, and travel to project sites as needed, collaborating with managers and crews to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated QHSE role in construction/utilities/energy sectors.
• OSHA 30-hour certification for General Industry or Construction.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local QHSE regulations (OSHA, EPA).
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to train and influence others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to project sites; valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular QHSE inspections and audits of work sites, equipment, and processes.
• Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of QHSE policies and programs.
• Deliver QHSE training to employees and new hires.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes; recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate QHSE records and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and staff to promote safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with QHSE regulations and company standards.
• Participate in JHAs and risk assessment tools.
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning and drills.
• Provide technical QHSE guidance to site personnel.
