Metric Engineering is seeking a Florida-licensed Senior Engineer to join our team in a flexible, part-time capacity as a QC Reviewer and Senior Technical Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity for semi-retired professionals or consultants seeking project-based work without a full-time commitment, with remote, flexible scheduling and the chance to mentor junior staff on roadway and transportation design projects.

Competenze

• Active Florida PE license is required.
• Extensive FDOT roadway/transportation design experience.
• Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, procedures and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible environment.

Mansioni

• Provide independent quality control reviews of roadway and transportation design deliverables for FDOT projects.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor to project teams, offering guidance on engineering design and procedural matters.
• Mentor and support engineering staff, elevating technical quality and consistency across projects.
• Identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in design documents.
