Cardinal Health in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Senior Specialist in Quality Control-Microbiology for the second shift. The role conducts microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and collaborates with QA to ensure timely release of products.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Microbiology/Biology and 2–4 years in pharma/biotech QC, with strong documentation and regulatory knowledge. Core hours are Fri-Mon 12PM–10PM, with potential weekend/extended shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology/Biology or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with emphasis in QC microbiology, environmental monitoring, or related areas.
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills.
General knowledge of cGMP regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform microbiological testing per batch records, protocols, or test methods.
Perform environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing/testing areas.
Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, and QA to ensure timely testing and release of products.
Report Out of Specification/Out of Trend results and other non-conformances to management.
Participate in investigations and related studies.
Assist in validation, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment; resolve issues proactively.
Adhere to EH&S requirements and procedures.
Review, interpret, trend, and report test data.
