Job summary

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation based in Whitesboro, New York. The Manager, Quality Control (QC) will oversee QA and compliance workstreams to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

The role leads QC staff, collaborates with production, regulatory and research teams, and supports audits. Strong leadership and QA experience, plus excellent communication, are required to drive continuous improvement in quality programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in life sciences, quality assurance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience managing quality control operations with QA principles and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with RCA experience.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control operations and ensure product compliance.
• Develop inter-departmental system improvements for quality and efficiency.
• Suggest process improvements and implement action plans.
• Lead, train, and mentor QC staff.
• Collaborate with production, regulatory, and research teams to resolve QA issues and implement CAPAs.
• Monitor QC metrics and prepare quality performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and internal policies.
• Develop relationships with internal clients/suppliers, assist with quality findings.
• Participate in client or regulatory audits with QA department.
