Job summary

Zoetis in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a QO Lab Analyst to support quality operations by analyzing raw materials, APIs, and finished products in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Responsibilities include performing and documenting assays, interpreting data for accuracy and GMP impact, and maintaining high productivity with minimal errors. Training colleagues, participating in investigations, and learning new techniques are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
• A minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one high complexity technology (e.g., HPLC, uHPLC, GC) or 2+ lower complexity technologies.

Responsibilities

• Performs, documents, record checks, and troubleshoots qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.
• Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and GMP impact and recommends corrective action.
• High productivity and the ability to multi-task with low error rate and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates flexibility and engagement in a changing environment; avoids cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.
• Performs routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.
• May train others as skills and knowledge allow.
• Participates in laboratory investigations as required.
• May write routine assay protocols or conduct assay/process/instrument qualifications.
• Ability to rapidly learn new skills/techniques.
