Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Hopewell, NJ is seeking a Senior QC Chemist to support GMP manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. The role focuses on analytical testing and compliance in large molecule projects.

The candidate will perform HPLC/UPLC/UV-Vis/electrophoresis analyses, review data, investigate OOS events, and support method validation and transfer while maintaining instruments and reagents. Travel is limited; onsite at Hopewell with ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in FDA-regulated biopharma environments.
• Hands-on analytical technique experience with HPLC/UPLC/UV.
• Ability to investigate OOS events and review data.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine/non-routine testing using HPLC, UPLC, UV-Vis and electrophoresis.
• Review and report data from testing activities.
• Investigate OOS (out-of-spec) events and deviation reports.
• Support method validation and transfer activities.
• Maintain instruments and reagents; ensure calibration and TPM are current.
• Participate in internal audits and team training; provide SME input.
• Serve as subject matter expert in analytical testing for biotech programs.
