Job summary

Perplexity is seeking a Senior QA Web Engineer to join our Web QA team, ensuring the quality of the core web experience used by millions daily. You will test the web products across browsers, devices, and screen sizes, and work closely with engineers to identify, report, and resolve issues early while ensuring flows stay consistent across surfaces.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on QA experience testing web applications.
Proficient in cross-browser and responsive testing.
Experience with integration and end-to-end testing across multiple connected products or services.
Strong communication with engineering, product, and QA teams.
Proactive use of AI coding tools to navigate codebase and ship small fixes.

Responsibilities

Test Perplexity's web product across browsers, devices, and screen sizes for functionality and performance.
Run end-to-end integration testing with other Perplexity products.
Prioritize bugs with engineers, write clear bug reports, and help resolve issues.
Create and maintain test documentation including test cases and plans.
Analyze user-reported issues and share insights to improve product and QA processes.
Fix small, low-risk issues where appropriate to speed up resolution.
