Job summary

Altis is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a global software organization specializing in enterprise technology and cloud solutions. The role focuses on AI-powered automation within a SaaS platform built on Microsoft Azure, offering impact across worldwide customers.

You will design and maintain automated testing frameworks, leverage AI coding agents, and contribute to scalable QA practices in an Agile environment. Remote work with preference for East Coast alignment is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong QA automation experience with C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AI coding agents and platforms like GitHub Copilot / Claude Code / Windsurf.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, virtual machines, networking, and secure test environments.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and QA/QC systems using C#/.NET and Azure.
• Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate testing and debugging workflows.
• Establish reusable AI prompts and validation processes for automation.
• Build and manage cloud-based test environments including VMs and networking.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to investigate defects and releases.
• Contribute to test coverage, code reviews, and continuous QA improvements.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and QA/QC systems using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure.
• You'll leverage AI coding agents and platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Windsurf to accelerate testing, debugging, and development workflows.
• You'll help establish reusable AI prompts, agent instructions, validation processes, and responsible automation practices.
• You'll build and manage cloud-based test environments, including virtual machines, networking configurations, and integration testing.
• You'll collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to troubleshoot defects, reproduce customer issues, and deliver high-quality software releases.
• You'll contribute to test coverage, code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvements to QA automation processes.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience, with a computer science degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong QA automation experience with C#/.NET, Microsoft Azure, mocking, integration testing, code coverage, and Windows desktop/server testing.
• Hands-on professional experience with AI coding agents and advanced proficiency in GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, virtual machines, networking, and secure test environment provisioning.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Agile methodologies, and collaborative software development.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Assets include Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, PowerShell, Selenium, and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
