Job summary

HeadHR invites applications for a seasoned Test Manager to lead testing efforts across a large migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL on Linux. You will oversee a small test team, coordinate with architects, developers, and project management, and ensure on-time delivery with high quality, driving process improvements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Test Manager in complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, especially unit and functional testing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and documenting a detailed testing strategy for the migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL under Linux
• Integrating testing methodologies, including unit testing, functional testing, and comparison testing, into the testing framework
• Defining and integrating appropriate testing tools, such as X-Ray
• Coordinating and overseeing testing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
• Supporting test execution across planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting
• Acting as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including architects, developers, and project management teams
• Leading, mentoring, and managing a small test team
• Assessing resource needs and supporting hiring and training of team members as the project scales
• Monitoring and reporting on testing progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance testing efficiency
• Producing comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
