Job summary

Xebia is actively seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in quality engineering across multiple test layers, strong TypeScript and Playwright capabilities, and a track record in API and contract testing. You will work with developers on unit and component testing, rely on Azure DevOps pipelines, and contribute to robust test data strategies and testability improvements.

Your profile:

• Hands-on quality engineering or SDET experience across multiple test layers.
• Strong TypeScript skills and practical experience improving Playwright frameworks.
• Experience with API and integration test automation, plus an understanding of contract testing.
• Ability to work with developers on unit and component testing, mocking, stubbing and testability.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps pipeline integration, test reporting and quality gates; confident using Git and code reviews.
• Experience with test data, SQL and diagnosing failures across tests, applications and environments.
• Strong collaboration and coaching skills, with a pragmatic approach to risk, coverage and maintainability.
• • Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• xperience with .NET, React, Azure Service Bus or distributed systems.

• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
