Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC in Johnson City, TN is seeking a QA/QC Representative to implement and monitor quality assurance and control on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. You will verify materials, workmanship, and installation meet project specs and regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, reviews ITPs, NCRs, and CARs, and supports audits to improve quality processes while ensuring compliance with company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in quality control, quality assurance, and inspection on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience applying corrective actions to resolve nonconforming conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QA inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor concrete placement, structural steel installation, welding, and other critical operations.
• Review ITPs, procedures, and quality documentation for compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning teams on quality requirements.
• Conduct inspections related to concrete testing, welding, and structural steel inspections.
• Identify nonconforming materials or installations and initiate corrective actions.
• Track NCRs and CARs through closure and document outcomes.
• Support audits and surveillance to ensure adherence to quality management systems.
• Provide field guidance on quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Maintain inspection reports and quality records per project quality plans.
• Collaborate with project leadership to improve quality processes and resolve technical issues.
