Job summary

Strata-G in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a highly experienced Senior QA Inspector to oversee and verify QA/QC activities for DOE missions. The role requires an active DOE Q clearance and deep background in nuclear quality standards (NQA-1), with 10+ years in QA/QC within the DOE complex.

You will ensure compliance across engineering, manufacturing, construction, and operations, and drive corrective actions, documentation reviews, and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active DOE Q Security Clearance.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Control roles.
• Industry Experience: DOE experience is strictly required in nuclear/high-hazard environments.
• Standards & Regulations: Direct experience with ASME NQA-1 and ISO 9001 systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex inspections of materials, components, and processes to verify conformance to drawings and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with NQA-1, ISO 9001, and applicable DOE orders and directives.
• Lead or participate in internal and external QA audits, surveillance, and assessments.
• Identify, document, and track NCRs; initiate CAPA and ensure closure.
• Review quality-related records, fabricator submittals, and data packages for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to resolve quality issues.
