Job summary

Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Senior QA with strong Playwright experience to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for our web applications. The role emphasizes hands-on automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration in a fast-paced, agile setting.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to QA strategy, and help elevate testing standards within a growing energy-tech portfolio. This hybrid role reports to the QA team and is located in Panama City, Panama.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in QA automation engineering with hands-on Playwright work.
• Proven ability to write automated tests with Playwright in TS/JS or Python.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills for Playwright-based tests.
• Experience with modern QA methodologies, design, and management tools.
• CI/CD integration experience for automated tests in pipelines.
• REST API testing experience with Postman or Playwright API.
• Familiarity with Git version control and branches.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in agile teams.
• Interest in the energy sector and applying tech to grid projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright.
• Build modular, reusable automation frameworks for web apps.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and cross-browser testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners on test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and coverage.
• Analyze automation results and share insights with engineering.
• Continuously enhance automation processes, tooling, and practices.
• Mentor QA team members on Playwright usage and techniques.
• Contribute to QA strategy and maintain high engineering quality.
