Job summary

Sr Quality Assurance Engineer position at Curtiss-Wright Exlar in Chanhassen, MN. You will lead development and continuous improvement of quality systems across the full product lifecycle, serving as a technical expert and compliance leader for global distribution.

You will ensure manufacturing processes meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, lead audits, implement CAPA, and mentor staff to strengthen our quality culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 6 - 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance or compliance roles.
• Demonstrated success designing and maintaining quality systems in manufacturing environments.
• Deep expertise in quality standards, root-cause analysis, CAPA processes, and documentation practices.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and industry frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead audits, resolve nonconformances, and develop effective inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and inspection standards for receiving, in-process, and final products while ensuring alignment with internal policies and customer requirements.
• Plan, execute, and monitor compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Lead audits and support documentation for customer, program, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and refine inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for processes, equipment, and finished goods to ensure precision, reliability, and consistent performance.
• Analyze production data, nonconformance trends, and quality reports to drive root cause investigations.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical support to production and inspection personnel and mentor junior quality staff to strengthen organizational quality culture.
