Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a Senior QA Engineer on a contract basis in New York. You will lead QA activities across the software development lifecycle, including test planning, automation, and defect management, to deliver high-quality applications.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in QA, hands-on automation, API and backend testing, strong communication, and proven ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, and Developers in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA, software testing, or related experience.
• Strong experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on test automation experience, including developing and maintaining automated scripts and frameworks.
• Experience with API, database, integration, and backend testing.
• Strong test planning, test case development, and defect management experience.
• Experience working throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently lead QA and testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and UAT support.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Test and validate APIs, databases, integrations, and backend processes.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Support teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality improvements throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices.
• Support release validation, production verification, and hypercare activities.
• Help improve QA processes, tools, and automation practices.
