Halliburton AutoGS is an initiative focused on automated geosteering during well drilling. The project aims to develop a system capable of independently managing the trajectory of horizontal and directional wells in real time with minimal human intervention. AutoGS combines Halliburton’s digital drilling technologies, including the LOGIX platform for autonomous drilling, with intelligent algorithms and sensors integrated directly into the well construction process. This initiative aligns with Halliburton’s broader strategy to develop digital solutions and automate field operations, enhancing efficiency and safety through AI and automated control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Testing Standards
• Understand Quality Concerns
• Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality
• Contribute as an active Software Tester in the Team to deliver product stories
• Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria
• Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality
• Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define Cross-Product Integration Scenarios
• Identify requirements for and solutions to Test Data creation
• Define, create and maintain Test environments
• Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories
• Verify that Development changes have no undesired effect on other associated areas of Functionality
• Define, implement and execute Test Plans during Development and Delivery phases of the project
• Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion
• Track Bugs through resolution and implementation
• Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition

Skills

Must have

• 5+ years of manual QA experience, including Code Inspection, Manual Testing, Automated Testing, and working with Functional Requirements, Test Case Design, and Execution
• Comprehensive knowledge of complex geoscience-related applications and the ability to conduct integration testing across these applications
• Experience in setting up test environments
• Knowledge in Geoscience domain
• Strong experience with Windows OS
• Good knowledge of web performance testing and web security testing
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Boards, including test case, test plan, requirements, and bug management
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience in Geosteering
• Experience with Scrum Framework
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, including basic SQL queries
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes
• Microsoft Azure certification
