Renesas Electronics Corp. in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior QA Engineer to define and scale quality systems across frontend and backend, partnering with engineering, product, and DevOps to embed quality from design through production.

The role requires 8+ years in software quality, a CS degree, strong TypeScript and testing framework skills (Vitest, Jest, Playwright), experience with React and GraphQL APIs, PostgreSQL data validation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software quality experience with ownership of quality systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, Playwright).
• Experience testing React frontends and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and validating data across service layers.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong architectural thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve end-to-end quality strategy across stacks.
• Design and maintain scalable test infrastructure across unit, integration, and E2E.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure testability.
• Validate UI, API, and data integrity across services.
• Refine test pipelines to balance speed and coverage.
• Lead regression analyses and incident retrospectives.
• Leverage AI-driven workflows to generate test scaffolding.
