Job summary

SkyGrid, a Wisk Company, based in Austin, TX, seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA for all SkyGrid products across systems, software, and hardware. You will apply ARP-4754, DO-178C/DO-254, and QMS standards to ensure compliance and reliability.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Program teams, report to the Director of Assurance, and help define processes while enforcing procedures. Hybrid role preferred, remote possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 10+ years in a highly technical aerospace-related industry.
• 5+ years in QA for highly complex systems (DAL C+).
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Experience leading QA audits with regulators across the lifecycle.
• Effective communication and regulatory-focused discussion skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate corporate level QMS through the business pyramid with SMS and SecMS.
• Develop company policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure an audit process exists for compliance at product and program level.
• Understand FAA and foreign regulatory standards and determine required compliance.
• Oversee staffing plans and identify risks, escalating as needed.
• Act as primary interface to regulatory authorities for QA.
• Monitor new standards and potential impacts on the program.
• Manage assurance and certification risks and report them timely.
