Job summary

Luxoft Germany is seeking a QA Engineer to join a software team developing computational software for medical technology applications. The role focuses on data‑level testing of algorithms handling 3D geometry, meshes and numerical pipelines to ensure accuracy and stability.

The candidate will automate data validation with Python (NumPy/SciPy/pandas/pytest), build test datasets, document V&V activities and contribute to CI pipelines in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software QA or test engineering focused on computational, numerical, geometric, scientific, imaging or simulation software.
• Hands‑on testing experience in CAD/CAM/CAE or 3D geometry, mesh or point‑cloud processing.
• Experience validating numerical and geometric data quality: tolerances, stability, edge cases, and reference data.
• Automating data‑level validation and CI integration using Python (NumPy/SciPy/pandas/pytest).
• Strong ability to write clear V&V documentation with traceability.
• Degree in CS/Math/Physics/Engineering or related field and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design verification strategies for computational and geometric algorithms.
• Validate results against reference data and tolerances.
• Check topology, watertightness, self‑intersections, orientation and dimensional accuracy.
• Assess numerical stability and sensitivity to input variation.
• Build Python‑based automation for data preparation, comparison, metrics and regression testing.
• Create and curate test datasets, including edge cases and synthetic data.
• Write verification documentation: test plans, cases, protocols and V&V reports.
• Document defects with root‑cause analysis and collaborate with developers.
• Participate in requirements reviews and help define acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated validation into CI pipelines.
