Job summary

Luxoft seeks an experienced QA professional to join a trading platform project for a top-tier hedge fund. You will perform manual testing, analyze logs, and contribute to backend automation, ensuring quality across front-office and trading system components.

The role requires deep testing expertise, strong Java/Cucumber skills, and proficiency with SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and UNIX CLI. You will collaborate with stakeholders and developers to improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of testing experience.
• Willingness to perform manual testing.
• Willingness to maintain and run automation suites in rotation.
• Experience in backend manual testing.
• Strong knowledge of test design.
• Business domain experience in stock exchange trading.
• Strong knowledge of client-server software architecture.
• Good backend and test data management understanding.
• Good working knowledge of Java and Cucumber.
• Good working knowledge of JavaScript.
• Advanced UNIX CLI experience.
• Good debugging/troubleshooting for test failures.
• Good knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
• Good knowledge of SQL.

Building a trading platform for innovative international top-tier hedge fund from the ground up, comprising of front-office system for traders, pre-trade checks and analysis, intra-day positions management, order management and routing, risks and limits management, reports of trading activities, FIX connectivity, market data providers connectivity (e.g. Bloomberg B-pipe).

Responsibilities

• Interaction with business stakeholders, end-users, developers, and other QA;
• Manual API testing
• Analyzing logs and test results
• Work on backend automation
• Creation test cases in TestRail
• Be pro-active in terms of process building
• Manual testing of desktop application (trading platform)

SKILLS

Must have

• 8+ years of exp
• Must be willing to do manual testing
• Must be willing to maintain and execute automation suites in a rotational basis
• Experience on backend manual testing
• Strong knowledge of test design
