Programmers.io in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team on-site. The role focuses on owning QA strategy, building robust automation frameworks, and driving shift-left quality practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in QA/SDET, 2+ years in a Senior QA role, and strong expertise in test automation, API and performance testing, plus CI/CD/DevOps exposure to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years in QA/SDET or software testing.
At least 2+ years in a Senior QA role.
Strong expertise in test automation frameworks.
CI/CD pipeline and DevOps experience.
API testing and performance testing experience.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Define and own the QA strategy across the team.
Build and maintain automation frameworks for unit, integration, E2E, and performance testing.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.
Drive shift-left testing practices and quality initiatives.
Own release quality gates and sign-off processes.
Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Mentor QA engineers and promote a culture of quality.
