Job summary

BlackCube Labs in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for API/TypeScript to contribute to test automation strategy and delivery in a hybrid onsite environment.

You will design test plans, drive automation quality, and collaborate across teams, with a focus on AI-assisted testing and continuous improvement. Must be comfortable working 2 PM–11 PM and bringing 8+ years of QA experience.

Responsibilities

• Design test plans from design reviews and specifications.
• Provide ideas to ensure product and integration quality.
• Influence the quality strategy for the team including automation.
• Promote AI-assisted testing to drive innovation and CI/CD.
• Ensure automation code quality, reusability and maintainability.
• Provide technical QE guidance to the team.

Location: Saint Paul, MN 55101 (Onsite-Hybrid. Client will consider candidates willing to relocate)

Duration: 6 months

• API test automation using Vitest and TypeScript (or similar open-source tool)

Detailed Job Description:

• Participate in design and specification reviews and use this information to design test plans.
• Provide creative ideas to ensure overall product and integration quality
• Recommend and influence the quality strategy for the team including both manual and automation testing.
• Comfortable with unknowns and able to drive ideas and solutions using AI
• Ensure automation code quality, leveragability, and maintainability
• Promote practices to further Continuous Delivery & Continuous Improvement
• Provide technical guidance to others on the QE team.
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools and AI-assisted testing methodologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Must be willing to work in the 2 PM – 11 PM shift
• Minimum Years of Experience:
