CodeRoad is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own the quality strategy and automated testing framework for mission-critical applications. You will anchor reliability, build scalable test suites for API, Web, and Mobile layers, and mentor engineers in modern testing methodologies.

You will lead automation framework design, test orchestration, and CI/CD integration while collaborating with US-based stakeholders to ensure high quality releases in a fast-paced nearshore environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software QA with a heavy focus on automation.
• Advanced proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Strong coding skills in Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Deep experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Git and CI/CD concepts for automated testing and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Develop comprehensive test suites for APIs and frontends to ensure stable delivery.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid releases.
• Define acceptance criteria with developers and product owners to catch risks early.

About the Role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will own the quality strategy and automated testing framework for mission-critical applications. You will act as the primary anchor for ensuring system reliability, building scalable test suites that cover API, Web, and Mobile layers. This role requires an autonomous mindset to identify edge cases, reduce manual testing overhead, and drive a “quality-first” culture within the POD. Your success is measured by test coverage, the speed of feedback loops, and your ability to mentor engineers on modern testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Design: Lead the design and maintenance of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium).
• Test Orchestration: Build and evolve comprehensive test suites for APIs and frontends to ensure stable delivery.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid releases.
• Quality Advocacy: Work closely with developers and product owners to define acceptance criteria and identify risks early in the lifecycle.
• Team Influence: Elevate the team’s quality standards through deep code reviews of test scripts and mentoring L1/L2 QA engineers.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in Software Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on automation.
• Automation Mastery: Advanced proficiency in tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Coding: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation (Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python).
• API Testing: Deep experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• DevOps: Understanding of Git and CI/CD integration for automated testing.
• Communication: Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal) for collaboration with US-based clients.
• Environment: Mandatory experience in nearshore/offshore client-facing startup cultures.
