Job summary

Avenue Code is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web apps and APIs. You will build end-to-end tests and work closely with developers, product owners, and Scrum teams to ensure high quality and faster delivery.

You will help reduce manual testing, improve coverage, and implement efficient regression testing strategies across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software or related field.
5+ years building test automation frameworks.
Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cucumber.
Experience automating web, API, and mobile testing.
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI).
Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web apps and APIs.
Develop and run end-to-end tests to validate product functionality and performance.
Collaborate with developers to identify automatable test cases.
Work with Product Owners and Scrum teams to validate requirements.
Implement strategies to support regression testing and CI pipelines.
Manage and track defects using reporting tools like Playwright/Allure.
Analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
Continuously optimize testing frameworks for efficiency and scalability.
Promote automation-first testing practices.
