CodeRoad Inc. is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to anchor the test strategy with a heavy emphasis on backend architectures, RESTful APIs, and SQL validation.

The role operates in a 70/30 automation-to-manual model and participates in CI/CD pipelines. You will design, scale, and maintain robust automated testing solutions to ensure data integrity, service reliability, and architectural stability across client systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated experience in software quality engineering with emphasis on backend test automation (70%) and manual validation (30%).
• Strong experience automating RESTful APIs using REST Assured, PyTest, Playwright, Postman or Karate.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, ETL verification, and state assertions.
• Proficiency in at least one automation language: Python, Java, TypeScript, or C#.
• Excellent ownership mindset, collaboration, and proactive risk identification.
• Advanced English communication for US-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable API and backend test automation frameworks.
• Optimize database validation through complex queries and data integrity audits.
• Validate REST/gRPC services and data pipelines with functional, integration, and regression tests.
• Lead QA protocols while balancing automated and manual testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps.
