Job summary

Mars Snacking is hiring a Quality Systems Sr Specialist to apply technical and QFS knowledge to flavors and ingredients, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across sites. You will lead standardization, risk analysis, and improvements while coaching teams and collaborating across engineering, R&D, and supplyMake.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of food manufacturing experience in a role related to food safety or quality systems, or 5+ years in a relevant field.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as backup to the Quality and Food Safety Manager during incidents and risk analyses.
• Lead the implementation of Global Quality and Food Safety Standards to ensure compliance.
• Manage site quality and food safety reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead QFS input for engineering projects and oversee QFS handover processes.
• Drive QFS continuous improvement across Mars Snacking flavors in North America.
• Oversee product incident management and provide disposition recommendations.
• Use laboratory data to inform usage decisions for Mars Snacking flavors.
• Facilitate communities of practice to standardize practices.
• Coach and develop QFS associates locally and network-wide.
