Job summary

Anduril Industries in Reston, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the end-to-end functional testing of cutting-edge networking devices and systems.

You will design test strategies, develop automation utilities, and lead root-cause analysis, requiring strong Python, testing principles, networking knowledge, and the ability to obtain/maintain an active secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles.
• Solid knowledge of core networking concepts and IP protocols.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and instrument control (OpenHTF, Selenium, Playwright).
• Familiarity with Pytest.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust test cases and strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active secret security clearance at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional testing and validation of advanced networking devices and systems.
• Design and implement critical test cases and strategies for high-impact, rapidly evolving technology programs.
• Develop custom software and/or utilities, scripts, and automation frameworks to effectively exercise and validate designs under test.
• Lead rigorous root cause analysis for identified test failures, collaborating closely with engineering teams to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and drive the implementation of effective corrective actions.
