Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Production Software Engineer to develop product-agnostic software for production teams, improving automation and efficiency. You will design hardware testing strategies, collaborate across software and production teams, and document testing procedures to ensure optimal performance of cutting-edge tech.

The role requires hands-on software development, strong problem-solving, and the ability to lead architectural initiatives in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python
• Excellent problem-solving/critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work and communicate collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Drove strategic design of scalable system architecture
• Familiarity with Linux, Git, and networking
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field
• Experience in hardware testing and automated test systems
• Strong understanding of hardware-software integration
• Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring
• Prior work in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Experience with: SQL/databases, C/C++, javascript, nix

Responsibilities

• Develop product-agnostic software solutions to optimize production efficiency and product quality
• Design and implement hardware testing strategies and tools
• Collaborateacross multiple teams, especiallysoftware and production, to enhance automation
• Create and maintain documentation for testing procedures and tools
• Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Provide feedback to design teams for product enhancements
• Conduct root cause analysis to triage production, product, and process issues
• Lead system architecture designs of technical initiatives
