Interclypse, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Senior Python Developer to migrate a federal agency from legacy OpenVMS/Itanium infrastructure to a modern Python-based middleware platform. You will join a small, senior developer team and write production-quality Python code within a disciplined Agile/DevSecOps framework.

This is a firm-fixed-price engagement; self-direction and ownership are valued. The role focuses on building Python/FastAPI services, RESTful interfaces, and secure data processing

Qualifications

• Experience developing Python/FastAPI middleware services that replace legacy OpenVMS DCL scripts and batch processing.
• Build data pipelines, file routing engines, and workflow components in a production environment.
• Design and implement REST API access and dual-mode delivery while ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python/FastAPI middleware services to replace legacy DCL scripting.
• Create file processing pipelines, data routing engines, and workflow management components.
• Implement SSO authentication, authorization, and audit logging for secure access.
• Contribute to testing—unit, integration, and UAT—within Agile sprints and DevSecOps gates.
