Job summary

Sun Radia is seeking a Senior Python FullStack Developer for a long-term contract in McLean, VA. The role focuses on building scalable data solutions and automations across real-time and batch data flows, leveraging AWS, Python, and Spark.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters, lead junior developers, and ensure production support with effective incident communication. A strong SDLC and cloud data engineering background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 12 years of experience delivering software solutions through the SDLC.
• 12 years of experience delivering Data Engineering solutions using Python, PySpark and AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Data lake, Delta Lake).
• 3 years’ experience with complex SQL queries and Unix environment.
• Ability to lead a team of junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems in real time and batch modes.
• Identify and deliver automation solutions in data engineering using Agile methods.
• Support residual legacy applications while implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Understand business needs and partner with stakeholders including Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Learn new and legacy technologies to deploy cutting edge solutions.
• Utilize tools like Python, Hadoop, Spark, AWS for Big Data projects.
