Job summary

PandaDoc is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join Content Engineering, owning the content model, editor backend, and data persistence. You will help manage a high-volume, real-time collaboration platform with distributed services and robust reliability.

You will contribute to AI-powered capabilities and agentic workflows while shipping features end-to-end. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Python production experience, strong database design skills, and familiarity with event-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development in production environments.
• Strong SQL/database design skills and migrations.
• Experience with message queues and event-driven architectures.
• Proficient in AsyncIO and distributed systems.
• Experience with microservice architectures at scale.
• Knowledge of development lifecycle from requirements to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve backend systems powering real-time collaborative editing for many users.
• Own content model and data persistence including schema design and migrations.
• Build and maintain event pipelines (Kafka, NATS) for high volume frontend interactions.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and maintainability of Python microservices.
• Ship features end-to-end from architecture to production monitoring.
• Contribute to AI-powered workflows and agentic document capabilities.
