Job summary

Fintal Partners seeks a Senior Python Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications powering quantitative research and live trading. You will work closely with traders, researchers, and engineers to build production-grade software and infrastructure that enhances trading performance.

You will contribute to high-performance data pipelines, APIs, and internal tools while mentoring teammates and driving architectural decisions in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional Python software engineering experience.
• Experience building large-scale, production Python systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data structures, and software architecture.
• Experience working in Linux environments and modern development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and software engineering best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications supporting quantitative research and live trading
• Build frameworks, APIs, and internal tools used by traders and quantitative researchers
• Develop high-performance data pipelines and distributed systems for market data and analytics
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of production trading infrastructure
• Partner with quantitative researchers to transition research into production-quality software
• Drive technical design discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor other engineers
• Evaluate new technologies and continuously improve the firm's engineering platform
